Visit the MEERESMUSEUM in Stralsund's old town

Modern exhibitions with many new features and old acquaintances await guests on the tour of the Katharinenhalle. Four exhibition areas illustrate the evolution of life from the sea, highlight interactions between humans and the sea, present diversity and show strategies for sustainable fishing.

The new building with its impressive large aquarium will lead into the modernized aquarium cellar, which is expected to open in October 2024. The tanks show habitats from the Caribbean to the Pacific and the Indian Ocean.

Admission

From July 17, 2024 until the complete opening of the MEERESMUSEUM, a discount of 50 percent on the regular admission price will apply. In the opening summer, guests pay at the MEERESMUSEUM:

Adults (age 25–65): 9 € instead of 18 €

Reduced1: 7 € instead of 14 €

Children (age 4 –16 years): 4 € instead of 8 €
