Starting from Prerow’s canoe touring rest area it crosses Prerow, the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park and finally reaches its last stop at Darßer Ort port of distress. Darßer Ort is connected with one of the Darß peninsula’s best network of hiking trails.

Two special circular walks (1.7 km and 3.7 km long) lead you through the beautiful and multifaceted nature of the Darß Forest within the national park reserve. Walkable paths run along observation platforms with wonderful views until you reach Darßer Ort lighthouse. It was built in 1849 and is one of the oldest still working lighthouses on the Baltic coast. The lighthouse is accessible via 126 steps that lead to the top.
